Littler Mendelson PC is recruiting for a Receptionist/Legal Secretary in its Portland office Littler Mendelson, the nation's premier employment and labor law firm, seeks an experienced full-time Receptionist/Legal Secretary for its Portland office.

With over 750+ attorneys in 49 offices nationwide, we provide our clients with a full range of services in the area of employment relations.

Clients expect and receive creative and thorough representation in defending all types of employment-related cases as well as constructive advice to prevent and resolve employee problems.

General Summary: Answer all incoming lines, direct callers, and take messages using a multi-line telephone console, greet clients, vendors and visitors, open and close the reception area, assist with telephone related problems, schedule conference rooms, order and set up food/beverages for meetings, operate video-conferencing equipment, type correspondence, memos, forms and other documents.

Assist Administrator, secretarial and paralegal staff with administrative duties.

Requirements: At least two years experience in a law firm, legal department or other professional environment, knowledge of and proficiency on multi-phone telephone console and voicemail systems, strong verbal communication skills, ability to compose, type and edit routine office correspondence, memos and forms, proficiency with Microsoft Word, ability to proofread material for grammatical, typographical and spelling errors, ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks, have the ability to interact well with all levels of staff and attorneys, must be punctual and be a team player.
