Security Officer Patrols designated facilities to detect breaches of security, fire and safety hazards.

Takes immediate action to correct discrepancies and document all incidents as required.

Maintains appropriate logs and records at assigned post(s) or while on patrol.

Appropriately respond to emergency situations such as accidents, fire, safety hazards, and executive security calls for service as required.

Prepares various inspection reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Greets and announces visitors in a professional service oriented manner to ensure authorized entry.

Performs emergency first responder duties such as emergency first aid, medical, CPR, other assistance as required, including the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).

Must be able to maintain an attendance record in good standing.

More specifically, must meet all departmental guidelines for this sensitive position.

Assists in the training and development of other security officers and employees as required.

May be called upon to act as Senior Officer on duty in the absence of supervisory personnel.

Providing special event and/or crowd control duties.

Performs related duties as assigned which may not be specifically listed in the job description, but which are within the general occupational series and responsibility level associated with the incumbents class of work.

Performing miscellaneous duties as required, including rotating to other assigned security posts or shifts, handling of confidential and/or proprietary data.

Education/experience · High School Diploma & at least one year of customer service and/or security experience preferred.

Skills & Requirements · Must have a valid drivers license to operate patrol vehicle on company property and externally.

· Must have the necessary certification in order to provide emergency first aid and/or CPR for company personnel, visitors and guests.

· Must have working knowledge of all posts and patrols and be proficient in the operation of various alarm systems, portable radio equipment and other security-related equipment · Basic computer skills · Must pass a thorough background check *The position description is brief overview of the position.
