Police Officer: Board of Fire and Police Commisions, City of Pontiac
POLICE OFFICER CITY OF PONTIAC, ILLINOIS The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, City of Pontiac, Illinois, is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list.
Applications can be picked up between the hours of 8 am and 4 p.
m., Mon.-Fri., at Pontiac Police Department, Public Safety Complex, 413 N.
Mill St., Pontiac, IL 61764; online at www.pontiac.org or will be mailed upon request.
Deadline for filing is 4 p.
m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Pontiac Police Department.
A $25 testing fee must be enclosed at the time of filing.
The board will begin the testing process with MANDATORY Orientation Wednesday, July 14 at 7:00 pm in the Training Room at the Public Safety Complex.
FAILURE TO ATTEND ORIENTATION WILL PREVENT FURTHER APPLICATION.
Physical ability will be held Saturday, July 17 at 2:00 pm at the Pontiac Rec Center, 900 N.
Elm Street.
The written test will be held after the physical test also at the Rec Center.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent; citizen of the United States; good physical condition; 21 years of age and not reached 35 years of age, except as provided by Illinois statutes; minimum vision of 20/50 uncorrected, 20/20 corrected; shall not be color blind; valid driver's license with good record; become a resident of Pontiac area per union contract; psychological and polygraph plus physical examination required before recommendation.
