Global Protective Services Specialist: Confidential
POSITION SUMMARY: The Global Protective Services Specialist is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions to routine, but which may include moderate-complex, management problems with respect to the protection and safeguarding of personnel, information and other assets in the area of management support, loss protection and investigations, threat assessments, workplace violence, and safety and security related awareness and training.
This role will play a specific and significant role in the coordination and support of special events and executive protection needs among general safety and security specific concerns on a global basis on behalf of client Safety and Security.
This position reports directly to the manager of Global Protective Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Identify, investigate and implement solutions to routine, but which may include moderate-complex and highly sensitive, incidents and issues, requiring established interviewing, researching, and analytical skills and techniques.
2. Conduct investigations related to threats originating from external sources outside the company, and internal incidents and issues such as theft, vandalism, and workplace violence related matters, globally.
3. Develop, track and maintain reporting and statistical and written analysis of user threats and incidents for management review.
4. Coordinate and partner with internal resources to ensure Safety & Security is engaged in the supporting and planning efforts for special events, dignitary visits, VIP meeting, executive protection needs, etc[^%dot%^
5. Indentify opportunities by which to strengthen relationships with key internal teams (event management/planners, public relations, senior and executive administrative teams, government relations, etc.) to foster a greater awareness of the importance of the various levels of support and insight Safety & Security can provide to special events or incidents of question or concern.
6. Provide executive protection and logistical support for large-scale operations close contact with the general public and potentially long periods of standing.
7. Conduct event security surveys in advance of the arrival of executives at key locations.
Serve as the point of contact for special events on behalf of Safety & Security.
8. Manage communications with executive administrative teams as well as corporate travel and the corporate jet (aviation team) in order to collect, validate, and communicate event or travel specific details for executives and the corporate jet to the appropriate teams and senior management within Safety & Security.
9. Coordinate data/intel collection for a weekly intelligence-briefing document for Safety & Security senior management to include coordinating with regionally specific locations that may have additional information regarding special events and travel that require Safety & Security visibility.
10. Establish and maintain professional relationships with counterparts in related industries/disciplines to obtain a common understanding of like problems and known solutions.
11. Maintain direct liaison with corporate and outside counsel, law enforcement agencies and private consultants, as appropriate.
12. Conduct risk assessments and provide management with recommendations and solutions for improvements.
13. Represent the organization in the processing of security-related (typically criminal) issues to/from outside agencies, including law enforcement local, state, federal authorities and the legal system.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide assistance to the Workplace Resource organization as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 4+ Years experience working in the Security Operations, or Security Investigations, functions of a Corporate Security environment, or related field Working knowledge of MS Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint web design) Technical skills, which allow for listing with Information Technology to implement technical solutions specific to safety and security needs Basic investigative and analytical skills Event management and coordination skills Highly organized and efficient General understanding of, and introductory level experience with workplace violence and related cases/issues/incidents Effective communications, including verbal presentations, skills Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally Ability and willingness to be available 24/7 as needed EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Normally requires AA/AS degree plus 4-6 years related experience, or a BA/BS degree plus 2-4 years related experience, or equivalent as an investigator in a corporate setting.
