Job Description: A Campus Police Officer position (CP
1. is available in the University Police Department.
We seek an experienced officer to provide flexible, responsive, and high quality community policing.
Duties include: patrol campus buildings, grounds, and properties owned by Framingham State University.
Enforce State Laws, College policies, rules and regulations; investigate accidents and complaints; prepare concise and complete reports; handle confidential and sensitive information; ability to exercise clear quick thinking in emergencies and perform related work as required.
Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and report for duty at any time when emergencies arise.

mass.edu/foremployees/classificationspecs/classspecs-pers.asp Requirements: Minimum requirements at time of hire: Full time MPT.C or S.SPO basic recruit police academy and/or Criminal Justice Degree combined with the 120 hour Reserve Police Academy.
Candidates must have completed High School, possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license, have the ability to obtain Massachusetts Class 'A' firearms permit, and must pass a vigorous background check and other evaluations.
Applicant must be eligible for appointment as a Special State Police Officer under Chapter 22C, Sectio
63. The selected candidate must successfully complete the Special State Police Basic Recruit Academy to remain in the position.
Graduates of the SSPO or Municipal Police Academy and those with prior campus law enforcement experience within a residential setting are preferred.
Additional Information: Position is Grade 13 before training- weekly salary $592.40. Position is Grade 14 after training- weekly salary $615.79. *Current shift 3:00pm-11:00pm with Tuesday & Wednesday off. *This is subject to change.
