Web Specialist - Graphic Design - Mountain View
Web Specialist - Graphic Design - Mountain ViewThis position is based in Mountain View, CA. Google is looking for a talented artist with great free-hand illustration skills and the ability to create clean web-ready designs.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create graphics independently, as well as take direction in a team-based environment.
This position requires a utility player with strong artistic ability, web design expertise, organizational skills, and great attention to detail.
Responsibilities: Creating web images and digital illustrations.
Creating graphical User Interface elements.
Manipulating pixel-level details to create elegant icons.
Optimizing web images for download efficiency.
Designing clean, effective web pages.
Responding to a variety of web and graphics related requests across departments.
Fulfilling several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Developing and day-to-day maintenance of HTML web content.
Requirements: Freehand illustration skills.
Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS.
Solid background and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Strong knowledge of color theory.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Experience with graphics tablet.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Online portfolio of work required.
BA/BS or equivalent.
