Web Project Application Developer-Perl/AJAX
WEB PROJECT APPLICATION DEVELOPER - Perl/AJAX Web Project Application Developer (WPAD) Perl/AJAX JWAY GROUP, Inc. (www.jway.com) has an immediate requirement for Web Project Application Developer - Perl/AJAX Responsibilities: The Web Project Application Developer will work closely with the team of Web developers and the project manager developing a high quality product and initiating innovative Web solutions, and contributing to the overall product development process.
This person will be responsible for the technical delivery of leading edge web applications.
The ideal candidate for this position should have proven skills in web application programming using Perl/Oraperl, Server-side Java, Servlets, CGI, Shell scripting, JavaScript and HTML.
This person should also have a strong working knowledge of designing relational databases, understand System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and have experience in architecting dynamic Web application product components and performance tuning.
Qualifications: BS/CS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle 2 yrs experience as a web engineer developing internet applications using AJAX, PERL, CGI, Java, Servlets, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and Object oriented programming Experience in working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, MS Access) Experience in architecting web application product components and integrating design solutions in cross-platform and multiple browser environments Superb communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop and document work processes, architecture, implementation and test, plans Must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, delivery-oriented environment and adjust quickly to changing priorities and needs Must be able to identify problems and take the lead in resolving issues independently; Communicate issues, concerns, and progress reports using Word or PowerPoint Additional skills in XML, Dynamic Web Application Technologies, and User Interface design a definite PLUS Applicant must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 10 lbs.; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone To apply for this position, please email your resume to: pmteam [at] jway [dot] com [dot]
