Position Description The Staff Software Engineer will lead the efforts to design, develop and implement the next generation of our global transaction processing systems.
We currently process millions of transactions daily, and are in the process of incorporating emerging technologies to ensure our systems are scalable to handle our rapidly growing customer base and transactions volumes.
This highly visible and mission critical position will require leading a small team in the design and development of full stack J2EE applications (Web Interfaces, JMS, EJB) that have communications, batch processing, and task scheduling capabilities.
The Staff Software Engineer will need strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver on tight schedules while maintaining and improving upon the quality of delivered products.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will need to communicate technical ideas clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications: BS in Computer Science from an accredited university (MS in Computer Science preferred) and 8+ years experience developing Java applications Strong experience in MVC based 3 tier Web Applications development using J2EE Multithreaded Java development experience including fault-tolerant, scalable, high-volume systems Proven JDBC and relational database experience in engineering, optimization and performance with commercial-grade databases such as Sybase, Oracle, or MySql Well versed with J2EE methodologies and demonstration of successful implementations Proficient with XML and associated technologies and tools (XSLT, Web Services, SOAP, etc.) Mastery of OO and System design patterns Must have working experience utilizing Logical Data Modeling methodologies.
