Overview: The Senior Web Specialist is responsible for the development and leveraging of advanced online and emerging media tools ie Web development, site maintenance, e-mail marketing, online advertising, social media, podcast and video to drive the organizations strategic goals.
Using a variety of technical and creative skills, this position will work under minimal supervision and may have frequent client interaction.
This position requires strong web development skills as well as experience working within a content management environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with Content Management Systems is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 CMS is a plus.
Advanced PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office, desktop publishing, video/photo editing software, Adobe Creative Suite, social networking sites and the ability and willingness to learn new software and programs.
Knowledge of Web development language(s) such as HTML, CSS, and XML preferred.
Experience utilizing Web Analytics software is required.
Knowledge of WebTrends is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Work with a team of usability professionals, application analysts, developers, and project managers to define and implement exciting and dynamic online programs based on the latest technologies.
Perform hands-on development of creative prototype designs, wire framing, information architecture, and front-end coding.
Monitor, maintain, build, and update Web sites using Microsoft SharePoint Content Management System - meeting client deadlines/timelines,
Adhere to and enforce the graphic, style, and brand standards.
Create online Flash event banners, static/Flash e-blasts/e-vites as needed.
Find, resize, resample, retouch in PhotoShop/Fireworks all web (internet/intranet/calendar projects) and e-mail marketing photos/images.
Create monthly analytical reports for all electronic communication vehicles, such as the Web site, e-blasts and social media tools.
Develop reports as needed.
MUST have excellent communication skills- this role can be client facing so polished verbal & written communication is extremely important.
Perform training on Web related tools for internal staff as needed.
