Senior Software Engineer - Instant Messaging
Sr. Software Engineer - Instant Messaging Postini (www.postini.com) is the first and only enterprise-class managed service to provide Integrated Message Management.

Key Responsibilities: The senior IM engineer will be responsible for architecture design and implementation of the next generation IM proxy platform that must be scablable and flexible in providing customer value in the area of IM security and compliance policy management.
Work with product management and engineer teams to define the requirements and prepare technical specifications.
Lead team members in the design, development and production support in escalation situations.
Work closely with QA team to define testing requirements and scope.
Requirements: 7-10 years of software engineering experience designing enterprise scale messaging solutions.
Extensive experience with C/C++ and system level programming on Linux.
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking is a MUST.
Hands-on experience with IM protocols is a MUST.
Experience with Firewalls or VPN a big plus.
Experience with content filtering, Antivirus, or VOIP highly desired.
Experience with web application development environments, especially Linux server environment, highly desired.
Must be a self-motivated team player.
Experience as lead engineer and architect preferred.
In-depth understanding of software engineering lifecycle process, project management methods and architecture strategy and methods BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
