Position Description Market Wire is currently seeking a Senior Java Lead Developer with 6+ years of web applications development experience.

Candidates located outside of the Los Angeles metro area will not be considered.

Responsibilities This position is responsible for leading a small but growing team of developers on new and existing core products.

You will be responsible for working with various departments to turn business requirements into design specifications and implementation.

You must also be able to manage and mentor junior developers.

This position reports directly to our Chief Technology Officer.

Professional Qualifications: JAVA 6+ years of developing J2EE/JAVA web applications (JSP, Servlets, EJB) Strong experience with N-Tier Web Application development including Struts and/or other MVC architectures Strong OO Design skills and Methodologies Strong SQL skills using Oracle DB Expert in XML technologies, including XSL Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP) Experience with Search Engine Technology (Lucene) Proficient in Application Server administration and deployment, preferrably JBoss Experience with Eclipse IDE and CVS Experience with Internationalization preferred Expert with SQL queries using Oracle and/or SQL Server Good Understanding of Oracle Database Experience with full Life Cycle Software development Personal Qualifications: Strong communication & presentation skills.

Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.

Must be effective in translating business ideas into technological solutions.

Strong professional, confidence-inspiring presence and work ethic.

Education: BS in Computer Science Required.

MSCS preferred.
