Senior Java Programmer
Looking for programmer with experience writing server side applications in Java.
netomat is a New York based software company specializing in the development of groundbreaking new multimedia messaging and collaboration technologies.
We are looking for a programmer with extensive experience writing server side applications in Java to join our growing team.
Requirements: A deep knowledge of JSP programming, a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new APIs, a strong understanding of OO programming, and good OO design skills are required.
Experience with large-scale server environments (scalability and performance issues) is highly desirable.
Candidates should also have a good knowledge of some MVC framework for web applications.
We use Webworks 1, but if you know some other framework such as Struts, that's fine.
Knowledge of multithreaded programming will behelpful.
netomat's software includes a server which makes extensive use of the Webworks 1 MVC framework and the Velocity template engine; a MID
2. 0 client for mobile phones which interacts with the server using a dialect of XML called nml; and a JSP-based web client.
We are investigating the use of Ajax-like technologies for the web client, so some knowlewdge of Ajax would be a plus.
