Project Manager - Sales
Project Manager - Sales Position Summary Liaison between business owners and IT. Manages the implementation of sales support and financial systems and applications, which involves departmental or cross-functional teams.
Plans and directs schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Monitors projects from initiation through delivery.
Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Evaluate and make improvements to departmental processes through automated solutions.
Responsibilities - Serve as liaison between Business Operations and Planning and Business Applications; manage the implementation of new sales support (order management, CRM, PRM) and financial systems/applications and system/application conversions and upgrades; coordinate training for all users of the systems; assist end users of sales support and financial systems worldwide to define and document system support requirements.
Support Sr. Director of Business Operations and Planning in the implementation of process changes in Sales Operations and other G&A groups; evaluate user needs and system functionality and make appropriately documented recommendations; coordinate projects and communicate effectively with cross functional staff at all organizational - levels; work with Sales Operations personnel to accommodate unique needs by mining data from multiple systems; apply conceptual and analytical techniques to identify and solve complex problems; evaluate and automate manual tasks utilizing workflow analysis and information systems including data downloads and Web APIs to increase efficiency.
- Respond rapidly to new and changing issues, priorities, and schedules; design and create ad hoc reports as requested - Independently research, organize, and analyze technical information and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Assist in the development of feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and technical review of system upgrades and new software/hardware for sales support and financial systems.
Minimum Requirements - Thorough knowledge enterprise sales support (order management, CRM, PRM) and Oracle ERP system applications; considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); knowledge of the principles/practices of management research problem-solving and program evaluation; and work organization and simplification.
- Expert computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Oracle database Tools; skills in negotiation, interpersonal and oral/written communication, customer service, organization, and collaboration.
- Ability to plan and manage complex/diverse projects; handle multiple projects; and work independently with general guidance.
Must be innovative, creative, resourceful, accurate, timely, detail-oriented, and flexible to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- 8 years of related experience Strong people management and leadership skills to lead people within a team or lead a project for an employee group
