Marketing Analyst
Working on-site in Oakland, CA Pandora Media is looking for a Marketing Analyst to help improve our listener acquisition and listener retention efforts.
This position is based in Oakland, CA; sorry, we are accepting applications from residents of the San Francisco Bay Area only.
The right candidate is willing to work hard in a very fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
This position requires a very high-level of accuracy and keen attention to detail, as well as very strong data analysis and manipulation skills.
Advanced Excel and SQL skills are a must.
The right candidate has the ability to summarize large sets of data, and provide insight based on those data.
Online marketing and/or email marketing experience for a consumer-facing internet company is essential.
Report automation skills (via UNIX, PLSQL and Visual Basic, XML) are a plus.
Working knowledge of SEM/PPC is a plus (Google AdWords, Overture).
Additionally, other beneficial areas include use of a PPC bid management tool or experience running email marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities: Manage production of Pandora's email marketing campaigns, including data scrubbing and QA. Produce reports measuring the effectiveness of Pandora's email marketing campaigns.
Produce reports against creative tests of our SEM and email marketing campaigns.
Make recommendations based on test results.
Support reporting needs for other internal business units.
Produce ad-hoc reports on Pandora usage trends and identify areas for improvement.
Identify ways to streamline/automate existing reports and processes.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 3 years' experience at a consumer-facing internet company Strong intellectual curiosity and solid problem-solving skills Background in Online Marketing/Email Marketing Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills Advanced knowledge of SQL Strong interpersonal/communication skills Excellent organizational skills Detail-oriented Must love music!
