Junior IT AdministratorSkills: Basic troubleshooting skills with Windows, Mac, Understanding of TCP, DHCP, DNSDescription: Adchemy is a digital marketing technology company with roots in algorithm-based performance marketing.
Using our search engine marketing software, interactive marketers like you can deliver highly relevant advertising experiences to online audiences across search, display, social and mobile channels at an unprecedented scale.
The Junior IT Administrator will be responsible for fielding Tier-I, help-desk questions and issues for an office of 100+ users running a variety of Windows and Mac laptops, as well as assorted desktops.
These issues will include troubleshooting basic problems such as printer issues, software and hardware problems and network connectivity.
The Junior IT Administrator will perform software maintenance, PC setup and installations, hardware diagnosis, repairs, upgrades, and miscellaneous projects as needed.
Requirements: * One to two years experience supporting users in a similar environment* Experience with Windows XP (Vista and Windows 7 a plus)* Experience with Mac OS X* Basic hardware/software troubleshooting ability * Basic troubleshooting skills with Windows, Mac* Understanding of TCP, DHCP, DNS* Ability to install operating systems from scratch* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook* Experience working with and supporting end users* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Familiarity with Acronis or other imaging systems helpful, but not required* Linux experience helpful, but not required* VOIP experience helpful, but not required* Active Directory administration experience helpful, but not requiredEssential functions and responsibilities of the position include: * Providing Tier-1 support for end-users* Provisioning and maintaining laptops and workstations for end users including licensed applications, virus checkers, drivers, etc. * Administering peripheral equipment and basic network infrastructure, including printers and multi-function devices* Keeping office equipment well organized and in working condition; proactively identifying potential problems, and taking action as needed* Racking new servers, setting up new desktop systems, imaging machines and bringing them online* Helping create images for new servers and desktops, both Mac and Windows XP* Maintaining the VoIP system* Writing detailed and comprehensive user-level instructions and FAQs
