Internal Systems Engineering Manager - Phoenix
Internal Systems Engineering Manager - PhoenixThis position is based in Phoenix, AZ. We are looking for a highly technical Engineering Manager who can own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of 40+ Engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
Our interview process will emphasize technical skills and management/organizational skills equally.
Requirements: Computer Science degree strongly preferred.
5-10 years experience (including time working towards advanced degrees).
Strong programming capabilities in C++ and/or Java.
Very technical and technologically savvy.
Strong distributed systems and architecture knowledge and experience.
Substantial knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
Capable of working closely with product management to ensure we're building the best products.
Excellent communication abilities.
Strong leader capable of motivating and energizing the very best software engineers, as well as gaining their respect.
Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and technical innovation.
Proven ability to share knowledge with more junior team members via a formal mentoring relationship, reviewing code, reviewing design docs, giving technical talks, teaching classes, or as a consultant on projects.
