Front End Web Developer (Lead)
Front End Web Developer Lead Summary SideStep is seeking an experienced front end developer with great website development skills and a strong sense of clean software design to lead our front end development team.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create web UI solutions independently and also work well both giving and taking direction in a team-based environment.
This leadership position requires strong design and software development skills, technical savvy, great attention to detail, and proven expertise in front end web development.
Demonstrated portfolio of work and successful track record of team leadership is essential.
This position includes both high-level design as well as hands-on development.
Responsibilities: - Developing innovative, creative, and flexible improvements to our Web site user interface implementation - Creating and optimizing web pages for download efficiency and clean design - Responding to a variety of web-related requests across all areas - Synthesizing feedback from multiple sources - Fulfilling several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines - Comprehensive product development experience including design, implementation, system integration, testing, documentation, production environment deployment and maintenance Requirements: - Expert HTML, Javascript, CSS, AJAX and XML/XSLT skills - Solid experience with JSP and JSTL or other standard tag libraries - Prior experience with MVC frameworks such as Struts, Webworx, Tapestry and JSF - Good working knowledge of Java - Able to operate with little supervision to develop plans and implement solutions on schedule - Excellent problem solving and communication skills - Attention to detail - Keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of Web site design best practices - Portfolio of work that demonstrates the application of your skills - BA/BS or equivalent SideStep, Inc. is an EOE.
