Director of Digital Marketing: Searchlight
Director of Marketing (B2B) for Internet CompanyThis venture-backed Internet technology company is the first and largest open marketplace for behavioral targeting data.
This information enables users to optimize their campaign delivery and gain insight on their audience.
Job Description The Director of Marketing reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is responsible for building and executing marketing and communication strategies that support the addition of new buyers and sellers into the exchange.
We are looking for a hands-on marketing professional who can both build a plan and harness the personal, internal and external resources needed to execute on it. Outstanding writing skills, creative sensibility, brand positioning know-how and design skills are an absolute must.
Experience in the online space with a top tier brand is a requirement.
Roles and Responsibilities Work directly with internal teams to create marketing programs targeting leading digital agencies, online ad networks and online publishers to grow their business exchange Develop sales support collateral, presentation materials and marketing research documents Engage the press and manage all PR activity with outside vendors, including development of releases Management and updating of the corporate website Management of Twitter account and corporate blog; active participation in social media / blogging community to promote the company's business Coordinate all external communication with B to B publications Create and manage monthly client newsletter Act as a direct outreach to the online advertising community via participation in industry events, conferences and client entertainment activity Requirements At least 5-7 years of prior B-to-B marketing experience in the online advertising space Understanding of how to sell high value, sophisticated media products including BT and analytics Experience working for a top tier internet brand Strong strategic brand marketing skills Solid rolodex of industry media contacts (reporters, bloggers, etc.) Strong team building, personnel and sales management skills Deep understanding of the online ad industry, particularly the merging data space Very high drive to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced, cutting edge market Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams Impeccable honesty, integrity, and ethics
