For more information, visit www.ingersollrand.com Position: Designer II Reports To: Manager, Engineering Services Location: Mocksville, North Carolina Position Objective: · Design of parts, subassemblies and complete products using Pro/E CAD system.
· Generate BOM and ECN in MFG/PRO system.
· Assist Engineers as required.
Requirements: · AS Degree in Mechanical or related major · Minimum of 5 years in mechanical design of off-road mobile hydraulic equipment preferred.
Experience in mechanical design of compressors, light towers, generators or similar automotive, agricultural or truck/bus products will be considered.
· Mechanical product design experience at very detailed level; especially package layout, sheetmetal, welded structures, diesel engine systems, alternators, hose & tubing, electrical and hydraulic components, etc. · Strong computer skills including Pro/E CAD and Excel spreadsheet.
Pro/E surfacing skills is a plus.
· Experience creating drawings, BOM and ECNs with close attention to details and accuracy of data.
· Knowledge of drafting standards and ASME Y14.
5 GD&T.
· Good organizational and communication skills.
· Knowledge of wiring harnesses, hydraulic / electrical schematic drawings or SAE standards applicable to off-road equipment is a plus.
