Copy Editor, PayPal Primary Job Responsibilities We're seeking a Copy Editor who is passionate about the written language, has great communication skills and is highly motivated to produce top-notch work.
This person should be comfortable managing multiple projects and working collaboratively with different teams in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment.
The Copy Editor position requires working closely with both the Marketing and Product Content teams to help ensure consistent messaging across the website.
Projects will include: supporting PayPal Merchant Services, editing marketing communications, website feature development, user instructions and manuals, and Help Center information.
This position is for a 3-month contract that may be extended, and may have the possibility of full-time hire.
Job Requirements Edit website content for spelling, punctuation, grammar, clarity, and consistency with the PayPal Content Style Guide Edit marketing collateral through numerous revisions and iterations; make quick turnarounds Support lead copy editor for Merchant Services projects and have limited responsibility for leading smaller projects Work with cross-functional teams, such as copywriters, content managers, UI and visual designers, to produce copy that's consistent with the PayPal voice and tone Keep track of schedules and deadlines, and help drive projects to completion 3 to 5+ years of copy-editing experience for a major newspaper, magazine and/or website.
1+ year of web experience preferred.
