CREDIT MANAGER: Boylston Search Associates - Financial and Managerial Placement
Boylston Search Associates, Boston's premier resource for elite senior, managerial, and executive level Accounting and Finance professionals and the companies that seek these special individuals, has been contracted to find superior candidates for the following opportunity: CREDIT MANAGER Our client, a cutting edge internet supplier HQd just outside Boston has a current need for a versatile Credit Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities: · The selected candidate will work directly with the Controller regarding everyday collection issues, spontaneous issues, and overall operation of the collection department · Supervise and train collectors · Create/Approve credit and debit memos · Quarterly statements to customers · Recommend new (or changes to) collection policies and procedures · Outsouce delinquent accounts to third party collection company · Negotiate with customers prior to outsourcing to third party collection company · Work directly with and support the Controller each quarter-end and as needed · Coordinate with other departments (sales, customer service, account management) to resolve customer issues · Determine credit limit or credit watch for customers deemed a credit risk · Conduct weekly collections meeting reviewing priority accounts based on age and amount · Report Bi-weekly aging, Top 10k invoices, top 90 day past due, Aging to sales · Manage and supervise Credit and Collections staff Experience/Qual/Edu: · Bachelors degree or equivalent experience · Minimum 5 years Credit/Collections and supervisory experience · Strong MS Excel skills · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Ability to interact proactively with internal and external personnel and able to work independently.
This highly visible position will expand in responsibility as the company continues to grow and introduce new products to the marketplace.
