Assistant Media Relations Director
Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in collegiate athletic media relations/sports information.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills including publication editing and design.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of relative NCAA rules as well as competence with Macintosh computers and Quark Express desktop publishing.
Departmental Required Skills: Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Master's degree preferred.
Essential Job Duties: Assist the Media Relations Director in the management of all Athletics Department publicity/media relations activities for the 22-sport program.
Responsibilities include: writing and editing media guides and game programs, writing feature articles, press releases, coordinating appropriate game-day responsibilities and assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Media Relations Office.
Other Work/Responsibilities: The assistant will serve as the primary contact for women's basketball, women's soccer, and women's golf.
Other Olympic sports will also be assigned.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications: AA/EEO NC State welcomes all persons without regard to sexual orientation.
