Ads Quality Engineering Analyst - Mountain ViewThis position is based in Mountain View, CA. Come and help us make the world's best search engine even better.
We are looking for outstanding Quantitative Analysts to support Google's efforts in continuing to improve our ads quality.
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in addition to quantitative analysis and statistics, with experience applying those skills to business applications.
Experience in analyzing access and usage patterns of search-based services is especially important.
Candidates would be responsible for a broad range of activities, including experimental design and analysis, large-scale data mining and model building.
The opportunity will exist for tool-building as well.
Experience/Education: BS or MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Biostatistics, Psychology/Sociology, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or other discipline involving experimental design and/or quantitative analysis of very large data sets.
Training and experience in areas such as data analysis, survey design, statistical modeling, data mining and optimization.
Experience using technology to work efficiently with datasets; e.
g., scripting, Python, statistical software packages (R, S-Plus, SAS or similar); Unix/Linux experience required.
Proficiency with SQL a plus.
Experience with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and/or other web technologies a plus.
Experience with auctions and game theory a plus.
Foreign language reading abilities a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
