WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION? As a member of the Workers Compensation Center Leadership Team this position has a key focus on working closely with P&C Claim's Claims Service Consultants, Underwriters, and Practice Leaders and has high visibility with The Hartford's Accounts and Brokers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: Management of the investigation, litigation, disposition and settlement of Workers Compensation claims, in compliance with corporate claim settlement policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.

This is to be achieved by delivering outstanding service through the management of designated teams.

Accountable for achievement of the Property and Casualty Claim Organization goals for leadership effectiveness, business acumen and results, the development of specialized, superior technical expertise within the organization, and effective management and development of the Team.

Actively engage in Account Management leading to the retention and growth of profitable business.

Maintain a thorough understanding of commercial lines marketing and underwriting strategies to assist in achievement of growth and profit goals.

Product and program delivery, recovery operations, fraud operations, loss cost and expense strategy, core ALAE (including litigation strategy and expense, IME, special investigation), ULAE, case management oversight, regulatory issues and overall management of team member recruitment/hiring/development as well as compliance with service agreements and claim service delivery to targeted accounts.

Ensure appropriate plans/workflows are in place to execute office initiatives.

This position will manage the Workers Compensation Team Leaders and build high performing teams with diverse characteristics, where individual differences are valued.
