Ops Contrl & Audit Consltnt II
Description: Charles Schwab Retirement Services Internal Controls Consultant II - Plan Administrator Service Operations Department Group Objective: To identify, implement, and execute operational controls to mitigate risk for the Plan Administrator Service ( PAS) business.
Job Description: Responsible for executing the testing of our internal controls and ensuring the integrity of our system of internal accounting control.
Review and provide expert guidance on all operational internal control procedures, documentation, proposals, projects, and other materials to ensure alignment with Company and industry controls policies and practices.
Develop internal control tools to monitor and test internal accounts.
Establish and direct testing and monitoring processes, which includes reporting and escalation of exposures and incidents.
Conduct training to communicate sound controls practices and compliance for employees in the Division.
Will work as part of an Internal Controls team on testing and reviewing standard operating policies and procedures.
Assists line managers in developing, implementing, and maintaining a regular program of self audits.
Will work as primary contact with internal and external auditors through the examinations they conduct of our internal controls.
Qualifications: Ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, show an understanding of how to work with our servicing partners to research compliance and control questions and resolve problems.
Must be detail oriented, and highly Proficient in PC applications (word processing, spreadsheet, and database), as well as demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
Some supervisory responsibilities for team members is necessary.
We are looking for a solid team member, with skills in effectively managing small projects.
5 to 10 years of operations, finance, audit, or equivalent experience and a Bachelors degree preferred.
Success Factors: • Excellent oral and written communication • Detailed knowledge and understanding of rules, regulations, sound controls, and trust operations practices in the above areas • In depth experiences with project management skills in small to mid sized projects Requirements: Relocation Offered?
