Client Advisor - Casualty (RREEF) - Marsh - San Francisco
General Summary: Contribute to the overall goal of RREEF to serve Clients at the highest level, and to the Risk Management Department insuring that all Risks faced by RREEF and its clients are addressed.
Responsibilities: Provide lease and contract review; provide insight on insurance and indemnity provisions with both in-house and outside RREEF legal counsel.
Assist Director of Risk Management in managing corporate exposures via risk avoidance, risk control, and risk financing measures.
Oversee corporate insurance renewals.
Analyze new exposures upon acquisition of new accounts and properties.
Assist Director of Risk Management in analysis of environmental exposures and recommend measures to reduce frequency of potential loss and/or the purchase of insurance.
In conjunction with insurance broker and insurer(s), identify trends in workers’ compensation claims and develop training and procedures to reduce costs.
Review analyses of property replacement cost valuations and Probable Maximum Loss (PML) from insurance broker(s) and vendor(s).
Review Property and Liability claims analysis from insurance broker(s) including identifying trends in claims by property type, and geographical location.
In conjunction with insurance broker and insurer(s), identify trends in liability, property and other insured areas, and develop training and procedures to reduce costs.
Interacts regularly with insurance brokers, TPA(s) and Insurers.
Participate in negotiations of claim settlements with insurance brokers/TPA(s)/Insurers.
Update Risk Management procedures guide.
Has a college degree, preferably in Risk Management and Insurance and/or Accounting.
Maintains a California State Insurance Broker’s license.
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of company-sanctioned email, word processing, and spreadsheet software, as well as in-house, proprietary financial and reporting systems, and navigation within the Internet.
Possesses fundamental knowledge of office databases and company-sanctioned presentation software.
Has a solid understanding of risk management and property/casualty insurance principals.
Must have excellent oral and written communications.
Exercises independent judgment in servicing multiple clients (internal and external).
Must have at least five (5) years prior experience in the insurance and risk management arena, which may be satisfied by insurer, broker or risk management department experience.
