Details of this critical opening follow: POSITION SUMMARY: Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity for a Claim Approver with Combined Insurance Company of New York, part of the ACE Group of Companies.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Evaluate Accident and Health claims.
Determine eligibility, review, analyze, investigate and document claims against the applicable contracts utilizing all necessary tools to bring the claim to proper resolution.
Calculate benefits accurately in accordance with applicable contracts and key information into on-line processing system.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a fast paced, production environment important.
Prior experience with online claim processing systems and/or imaging systems helpful.
Keyboard skills and windows based PC knowledge essential.
Familiarity with medical terminology and industry standard codes helpful.
Candidate should have a quality and customer centric orientation, be analytical with good decision making skills, and have strong attention to detail.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma.
