Position OverviewThe HR Communications Specialist facilitates and enhances communication within the Human Resources organization.

Specializing in effective employee communication principles and tactics, the HR Communciations Specialist will partner with clients to determine communication needs and solutions.

This position will create content for a wide variety of existing and future communication channels.

Primary ActivitiesWriting, editing and publishing of content: Includes, but not limited to, organizational announcements, Web-based newsletters and general HR Communications messages in support of the HR Communications strategy.

Authors messages and talking points for presentations and other communications.

Provides proofreading, editing and document management for HR Communications projects on an as needed basis.

Support of HR Communications strategy development: Assists in the development of communications strategies and plans to educate and engage employees about the projects, services and tools available for new and existing programs/initiatives.

Provides support for HR Web-based communications: Maintains content on the Web sites owned by HR Communications.

Responsible for project management and content development.

Partners with Web masters and departmental team to build/enhance collective skill sets and to leverage communication best practices.

Works with other team members to define, gather and report on Web metrics.

Provides support for HR Communications metrics: Develops appropriate measurement techniques to properly evaluate communications initiatives through electronic/other media channels.

Provides analytical review of data and makes recommendations.

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field Minimum of 3-5 years experience providing corporate or division-specific communications support Excellent writing, editing, analytical and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a clear, concise manner Results-oriented with proven ability to deliver on time and within budget Creative and innovative approaches to problem solving Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a large global corporate environment and work effectively across multiple organizations to achieve specific internal communications goals Proven project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects Understanding of change management concepts Experience providing communication support to HR is highly desirable Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is a plusConsistently cited as a great place to work, we discover, develop, manufacture and market a wide range of vaccines and medicines to address unmet medical needs.
