Benefits Specialist (Part-Time): Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara
Benefits Specialist - Part-Time (18 hours per week): Housing Authority of the County of Santa ClaraThe Benefits Specialist position is a part-time position; three (3) days per week, six (6) hours per day. The role of the Benefits Specialist position is to provide technical and specialist lead support to the Human Resources Manager in the delivery and administration of a variety of employee benefit programs including life insurance plans, state disability insurance, long term disability insurance, unemployment insurance, and deferred compensation with the emphasis on the administration of health plans provided to employees.
Education: Associates degree or any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities for this classification.
Such experience and training would be equivalent to an Associates degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
Experience used to satisfy the education requirement must be in addition to any other experience required for this position.
Experience: A minimum of four years experience progressively responsible experience in an administrative role with responsibility involving the administration of benefit programs including insurance and retirement, personal benefits counseling, administration of federal and state leave and insurance programs, and the maintenance of confidential records; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Experience with CalPERS rules, regulations and procedures desirable.
