AVP, Compensation

AVP, Compensation Working within established corporate guidelines, this position will work to align Countrywide's reward systems with organizational goals.
This position works with middle and senior managers, members of the Human Resources department, and the EVP, Compensation to provide expert compensation analyses and policy implementation guidance.
Work involves a high level of confidential, pro-active, and value-added customer service to provide the organization with informed solutions, options and/or flexibility in conducting its business.
This position will also assist is compiling and reporting of statistical and summary data to senior management in a timely fashion.
Requires a thorough understanding of compensation theory and practice, to include job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluation, and statistical analysis.
Must have a solid background in structuring compensation proposals, developing survey analyses and interpreting survey data, as well as adjusting salary structures and ranges.
Strong familiarity with local and federal laws and statutes regarding compensation in the work place, including the Equal Pay Act, the Civil Rights Act, the EEO Act, the ADA, and Fair Labor Standards Act is essential.
CCP certification and 5-10 years experience in the field is desired.
College degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Must have knowledge of current trends in the field of Human Resources and Compensation.
PC proficiency (Word, Excel, PeopleSoft, Lotus Notes, Access) and Statistical packages (SPSS, eg), or the equivalent required.
Large corporate experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment is preferred.
Proven experience in advising senior management regarding options and flexible approaches to finding solutions is also required.
