An abundance of opportunities awaits you. Overview: Full time NIGHTS - 09:30PM to 08:00AM Mon-Tues-Wed/Thurs-Relief positon.
This position has primary responsibility for performing all assigned tasks in a professional manner as to reflect the highest integrity in keeping with the BH mission statement.
Assists in maintaning and repairing all hospital and utility systems such as HVAC, steam, plumbing, light electrical, building controls, Life Safety Systems, generators, fire alarm, etc. Performs urgent corrective, routine, preventative and requisitioned maintenance as required, such as painting, landscaping, mechanical functions, etc. Inspects and tests equipment and systems in keeping with codes and manufacturers recommendations.
Maintains accurate and timely records of all inspections and tests and reports quality status in the proper format.
Performs manual duties as requested and assists as needed with other assigned duties.
May be required to work day, evening, nights or weekends on short notice for effective operation of the facility.
Qualifications: Completion of an apprenticeship training program is highly desirable.
The ability to read, write and speak English effectively is required.
Should have good practical mechanical and electrical knowledge, including but not limited to experience in construction, industrial or commercial building maintenance and be able to use all tools of the trade effectively.
Must be able to understand and comply with all applicable regulations and procedures.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate with internal and external customers effectively and demonstrate behaviors consistant with Banner Service Standards.
