Overview: FT Days 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday Rotating weekends Responsibilities: Responsible for the proper care and handling of all general and specialty instruments including the cleaning, assembly, preparation, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation.
The position demonstrates competence in the care and treatment of patients in all age groups served.
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required; previous CSPD sterile processing experience including knowledge of surgical instrumentation, patient related supplies, materials and equipment, aseptic and sterilization techniques.
Must have mechanical aptitude with the ability to break down moving parts, clean, lubricate and reassemble.
Must be able to problem solve incomplete trays and missing instrumentation.
Must possess effective organizational, communication and human relation skills; must complete CS training program and acquire and maintain technician level certification within the first year of employment and maintain the certification throughout Banner Health employment.
