Established in 1954 by a group of community volunteers, Fauquier Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).
It remains independently operated, and governed by a volunteer board of trustees.
Fauquier Hospital provides a full array of innovative diagnostic and treatment capabilities to the people of Fauquier County, as well as the surrounding counties of Culpeper, Prince William and Rappahannock.
Patient care areas include two medical-surgical nursing units, an intensive care unit ICC/CCU, Family Birthing Center, five room surgical suite, plus emergency, outpatient special procedures, cardio/pulmonary, interventional radiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and medical imaging and diagnostics departments.
Job Details: Summary: Supports care of the medical-surgical patient The hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis population is concentrated on this unit as well.
Staff is oriented to age-specific care and competency is validated annually.
Participates in the provision of effective, high-quality patient care in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Department of Nursing and the Fauquier Hospital, Inc under the supervision of the Unit Director.
Assists with the total care given by the interdisciplinary team members under the direct supervision of Registered Nurse.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certified, Telemetry experience preferred.
