Supervisor
Qualifications: Mon-Fri & e/o 7a-3:30p Minimum Qualifications: ·High school education or equivalent.
·Sufficient previous experience in housekeeping functions.
Job Specifics: Job Summary: Directs and supervises the activities of the Environmental Technicians.
Evaluates employees' work performance at least annually at designated time.
Daily performs quality control checks in all areas to ensure cleanliness and completeness of work, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Thoroughly inspects discharge patient and transfer areas; signs off work sheet and releases room through Environmental Services office and/or admitting office.
Reports any problems concerning safety or equipment repairs to Director or appointed person.
Monitors the correct use and amount of usage of supplies and equipment; prepares daily reports, as necessary.
Maintains equipment in working order.
Ensures cleanliness of area during and at completion of work assignments.
Acts as liaison between Environmental Services and other medical center departments.
Schedules and maintains scheduling of employees and work assignments.
Instructs new employees in the responsibilities of their job (ie use of equipment, cleaning techniques/methods, and cleaning agents) and monitors their continued performance.
Deals effectively with on-the-job problems as they occur.
Responds appropriately when assigned additional duties.
Maintains employee files; utilizes sign in/sign out system for any employee file.
Prepares written documentation as required by the department.

Develops, supports, improves and participates in the medical center's Continuous Quality Improvement {CQI} program.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
