Staff Nurse - PACU At Scottish Rite

PACU/Day Surgery departments are fast paced with a great deal of patient turnover.
They average about 1000-1100 patients per month.
There are 9 beds in the PACU and 32 beds in Day Surgery.
Nurse to patient ratio in the PACU is 1: 1 and Day Surgery is 1
4. Surgical services include: Dental (oral surgery) ENT General surgery Laser surgery Neurosurgery Ophthalmology Orthopedic Plastic/Reconstruction Urology Job Summary: The Staff Nurse participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient care services and proactively supports the efforts that will ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Children's.
Qualifications Current license in the state of Georgia as a Registered Nurse is required Graduation from an approved Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing program is required Bachelor’s Degree is preferred PACU, ICU or Emergency Room experience (adults or pediatrics) is required Minimum 1 year of RN inpatient experience; critical care experience is preferred Previous pediatric experience preferred Call is required PALS after 1 year (2007) BLS certification is required Must be able to successfully pass the Basic Windows Skills Assessment at 80% or higher rating within 30 days of date of hire.
