Staff Nurse IP/I/II [060231]
DEPARTMENT: 4 East SCHEDULE: Part - Time Regular; 24 hours per week; Day Shift; 7:00am to 3:30pm; Schedule to include working every other weekend.
EDUCATION: Graduate of a school of professional/accredited nursing program.
BSN preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current CA RN License or Interim Permit required (current RN license must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
Current BCLS certification required (AHA-Healthcare Provider or ARC Professional Rescuer).
Medical, Surgical or Orthopedic Certification preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: National certifications encouraged (ACLS, PALS, NRP, Medical Surgical or Orthopedic certification, etc).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a patient care team.
For IP/SNI status no experience required.
Participation in a scheduled applicable training program required.
For SNII status minimum of six months acute hospital medical/surgical experience within the past 2 years required or participation in a scheduled applicable training program required.
Orthopedic experience preferred.
SKILLS: n/a DUTIES: Will practice nursing within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act as long as such practice is under the direct and immediate supervision of a registered nurse who must be present and available in the institution during the time the permittee is rendering services.
The Supervising Registered Nurse may delegate to the permittee any function taught in the permittee's basic nursing program.
