Staff Nurse II (12 Hour Alternative Shifts) (HC 5213-06)
EXPECTED LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: MAY 28, 2006 TO AUGUST 28, 2006 DEPARTMENT: Hospital Nursing Med Surg (4 West) SCHEDULE: Part-time Temporary; 36 hours/week; Days Shift; Sunday - Saturday, 7:00PM - 7:000AM.
Alternative workweek; 12 hour shifts.
All regular hours worked by an RN in a twelve (12) hour shift will be paid at the RN's straight time rate, plus applicable differential.
EDUCATION: Graduate Of An Accredited Nursing Program LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current California R.
N., CPR Certified (C class) Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Provider.
Chemo Certification Preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Six months full time or equivalent of experience in adult med/surg/oncology/orthopedics in acute care facility within the past three years required.
Emphasis is placed on the application of nursing process within age appropriate developmental, psychosocial, biophysical, environmental, spiritual, educational and discharge planning needs of the Adult med/surg/oncology/orthopedics patient.
- Experience with med/surg/oncology/orthopedic patients preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Prolonged standing and walking required with ability to lift and move patients.
- Other requirements as identified in the invididual's unit structure standards.
- Must be willing to float.
