32 hours per week, evening.
EDUCATION: Graduate of a school of professional/accredited nursing program.
BSN preferred.
LICENSE/EDUCATION: Current CA RN License.
Current BCLS certification required (AHA-Healthcare Provider or ARC Professional Rescuer).
American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
CCRN preferred QUALIFICATION: Excellent communication (verbally and in writing) and interpersonal skills with co-workers and other healthcare team members, and the ability to work effectively with a patient care team.
Must be willing to work in Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Good attendance record and customer service skills.
Minimum of one year Telemetry experience in the last three years in an acute care hospital.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse.
Must be able to use defibrillator, monitors, respiratory equipment, and EKG equipment.
Knowledge of cardiac medication and able to recognize arrhythmias.
Maintain knowledge and skills related to transitional care related to normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology of disease process, fluid and electrolyte balance, laboratory test sand results, respiratory therapy, management of stable chest tubes, pulse oximetry, non-invasive pacing, and cardioversion.
Float Department RNs will demonstrate competency in areas of assignment as determined by PBDS or unit-specific competency assessment tool.
