Specialist-Clinical Lab, Sr.
Location This position is located in Kearny Mesa.
Hours 8-hour shift; 7:00 am - 4:30 pm. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience supervising a hospital blood bank section required.
California Clinical Laboratory scientist required.
SBB (ASCP) certification is preferred.
Previous experience supervising a blood bank transfusion service section required.
Exceptional customer service, communication, relationship and critical decision making skills required.
Demonstrated technical expertise in blood bank transfusion service required.
Summary BLOOD BANK SENIOR SPECIALIST - Hospital clinical lab blood bank transfusion service with approximately 15 employees assigned to the section.
Hospital services include acute, critical, emergency care, trauma, NICU, obstetrics, cardiac, orthopedic, transplant, acute rehabilitation and psychiatric services.
Supervise the blood bank transfusion service section at a hospital campus consisting of over 650 beds.
Responsible for Sharp HealthCare ICD system blood bank subgroup activities.
Five years of full time equivalent supervisory experience is required.
