DEPARTMENT: Physical/Occup Therapy SCHEDULE: On-Call; scheduled days and hours vary; hours may be from 8:30am to 5:00pm EDUCATION: Graduate of approved and accredited Physical Therapy program LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: Physical Therapy/California Physical Therapist License; Current AHA, CPR certificate SKILLS TESTING: N/A Computer / Word Processing / Other: Mainframe, PARRS, OSCR, E-Consult preferred Summary of Duties: Will work primarily in the out-patient setting (and may work in the inpatient setting as well).
Evaluates patients, interprets evaluation findings, designs treatment programs, provides direct treatments, provides advice and education, discharges patients, and teaches/manages groups.
Participates in specialized patient care clinics in/out the department.
Assists in the development, implementation, review of departmental patient care programs.
Perform other duties as needed in the area of staff education, professional student programs, departmental operations, and department projects.
May be required to work some weekends based on department needs.
Experience Required: Experience with communication/team work within a multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrated high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Ability to work effectively in an inpatient care setting.
Also must be available to provide additional services on weekends as part of a rotation inpatient schedule based on department need.
Ability to work within a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Two or more years experience in outpatient setting.
Experience Preferred: Manual Therapy background helpful
