Registration Scheduling Representative - Dean Clinic - Fish Hatchery (217416-004): Dean Health System

The Registration Scheduling Representative, under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, provides exceptional customer service by serving as the frontline ambassador of service between the patient and the Medical Center.
This includes, but is not limited to: Greeting patients immediately, in a friendly, helpful and welcoming manner Assisting patients in scheduling an appointment that meets their needs Registering new patients, completely and accurately Verifying demographic and insurance information is complete and accurate Collecting Co-payments at the time of service Answering phones in a friendly, helpful and welcoming manner, within Dean Standards Demonstrating a resourceful nature and actions when patients and/or internal customers have questions Closing each encounter in a friendly, helpful mannerQualifications: Required
1. High school diploma or equivalent2 2 -3 years of customer service, reception or business experience3 Good decision-making, communication and organizational skills.
4. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a busy, ever-changing environment5 Previous PC training and experience with the ability to type with full keyboard knowledge.Preferred: 1. Background in medical, dental, insurance or bank setting2 Previous cash handling experience3 Previous phone experience.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions1 Ability to sit for extended periods2 Ability to see fine print and to use the computer for extended periods3 Ability to continuously perform fine motor tasks, such as computer, writing or phone tasks4 Ability to hear and converse on the phone and in person5 Ability to safely lift lightweight boxes or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds and the ability to push items such as a wheelchair6 Depending on specific location or position, the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift hours.
Required Skills Previous experience schedulling for Therapy Services (OT and PT), Hand and Upper Extremity and Rheumatology is highly preferred.
