Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry RN
Qualifications: Registered Nurse in the state of NC with current licensure.
CPR certication.
ACLS preferred, will provide.
Job Specifics: Cardiac patients with all monitored beds on this progressive cardiac telemetry unit.
30 beds with two nursing stations.
Schedules
1. Full-Time.
7a-7p, shifts during the week and every other weekend with flexibility to rotate 7p-7a.
2. Full-time.
7p-7a, shifts during the week and every other weekend.
Assessment: Utilizes appropriate assessment skills to evaluate patient and family needs.
Devises plan of care and patient goals based on assessments.
Evaluates care provided and revises goals and plan of care as indicated by patient/family needs.
Documentation: Provides timely documentation that accurately describes all aspects of nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, education, and evaluation, reflecting patient status.
Provides documentation that reflects communication of significant information and the actions taken.
Maintains documents that are neat and legible.
Patient Education: Provides patient education based on assessed needs utilizing appropriate teaching resources.
Communication and Collaborative Efforts: Collaboratively participates in decision making and cooperative goal directed efforts utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
Effectively communicates with leadership, peers, treatment team, patient and family.
Professional Development: Attends inservice and continuing education programs, including mandatory classes, for at least 20 hours of inservice credit yearly.
Identifies unit education needs, preparing and presenting appropriate inservice programs.
Demonstrates ability to utilize critical thinking skills to solve problems independently and utilizes appropriate channels when necessary.
Accepts responsibility and accountability for own actions.
Demonstrates appropriate time management skills through identification of priorities and organization of workload management skills.
Delegates patient care activities to personnel qualified to provide level of care.
Supervises personnel to whom care has been delegated to assure nursing activities have been appropriately performed.
Patient Safety: Ensures patient safety by following established policies and procedures.

Develops, supports, improves and participates in the medical center's Continuous Quality Improvement {CQI} program.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
