Radiation Therapist

This unit is located on the ground floor of the hospital in the beautiful Russell Pavilion, which is part of Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital.
The unit's core function is to provide therapeutic radiation to patients diagnosed with cancer or other non-malignant conditions.
Most patients are treated on an outpatient basis with in-patients being transported to the department.
Our department recently installed a new Varian 21EX Accelerator, MedTec indexed tabletops, and additional state-of-the-art equipment to help verify position of treatment volumes, thus delivering radiation treatment in a more technically sophisticated manner.
Your Position To fulfill this critical role as a Radiation Therapist, you'll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team comprised of other Radiation Therapists, Medical Dosimetrists, Medical Physicists, RNs, and other supporting unit staff.
In addition, this unit works with 3 full-time Radiation Oncologists and the unit Manager.
Our therapists, dosimetrists and manager are all board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
You'll be responsible for expert and precise delivery of prescribed dose of radiation to patients undergoing radiation therapy as well as preparing customized patient blocks.
