*** RN-PACU-Weekend Option [ 11367 ]*** Description As a Registered Nurse at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, you'll be joining a team dedicated to delivering the best possible healthcare for our patients, through safe, supportive practices.
The best people, the best hospitals - they go together.Our Place The Registered Nurse opening is in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital.
This unit, located on the 1st floor of the hospital and adjacent to the Main Operating Room, features a 19-bed facility with many state-of-the-art post anesthesia monitoring equipment and facilities.
Your Position To fulfill this vital role as a Registered Nurse in the PACU, you'll provide efficient and compassionate care to those patients recovering from a variety of anesthesia including the following: general, spinal and local anesthesia, bier blocks, regional blocks, as well as patients recovering from cardiovascular lab work and other special procedures.

As a newly hired Registered Nurse, you'll be precepted by unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude.Our Requirements: Current Colorado RN License Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Complete ACLS training within 1 year of employment PALS certification (or completion within 6 months of employment) Preferred: 1 year critical care or recovery room experience at a large community or urban hospital setting Critical care experience preferred Flexibility in shift start/finish timesYour Decision We invite you to consider one of Denver's most respected healthcare facilities and nationally recognized quality teaching hospital: Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital.
