RN-Medical Surgical Float Pool
Schedule: Full time, 72 hours/pp, 7:00pm-7:30am, every other weekend.
( We will consider both full and part time interest as well as 8 hour, 10 hour or 12 hour shifts.
Willing to discuss schedule of choice at time of interview.
) Job Summary: Spectrum Health consists of two acute care facilities with a combined capacity of 1,000 inpatient beds.
We also offer opportunities in our outpatient settings including offices, clinics, occupational health, Med Centers and Surgical Centers.
This Med/Surg position on 4-West provides nursing care to patients with medical or surgical conditions.
Job Requirements: Michigan RN license.
CPR certification or acquisition within 90 days of employment.
Two years of previous medical and surgical RN experinece required.
Assignments will include a variety of medical surgical units at the Blodgett and Butterworth campuses.
Assignments could include the following units: medical surgical, oncology, progressive care/neuro, trauma/neuro, GI/GU, Digestive Disease, Trauma/Ortho, Joint Center and Short Stay.
Telemetry skills and knowledge required.
Other: Time management and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of computers and their application preferred.
Working knowledge of a variety of health care equipment.
Ability to make quality, independent decisions.
Ability to instruct and direct the work of others.
80% of time spent standing and/or walking.
Ability to lift up to a 60 pound weight load.
Very frequent lifting and bending, pushing and/or pulling loads.
Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions.
