RN-Bed Management Nurse
Schedule: 60 hrs/pp, 7:00 pm - 7:30 am, Monday - Friday, every other weekend Location: Bed Management ( Butterworth) Job Summary: Responsible for screening examinations for appropriateness of admission per InterQual standards for all patients attempting to access Spectrum Health inpatient services and coordinates patient placement to achieve maximum effectiveness in bed utilization.
Job Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Graduate of approved nursing program.
Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
Previous work experience/ knowledge of InterQual/ coding standards preferred.
Two to three years experience in a clinical setting as a RN. Other: Working knowledge of Federal, State, JCAHO and third party requirements for utilization review.
Demonstrated team player with all members of the health care team.
Time management and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make quality, independent decisions.
Ability to instruct and direct the work of others.
Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions.
