Property Claim Supervisor

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience handling commercial lines and homeowner claims.
Appropriate state licenses (s).
Professional designations a plus.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred, especially in the insurance industry.
Organization skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects is essential.
Must have a sense of urgency, meet deadlines, through effective decision making and problem solving.
Effective communications skills are required (oral, written, computer).
Excellent customer service skills are necessary along with the ability to create and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to adapt to change and implement change initiatives is critical.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION? This Property Supervisor leads a team of Property Claim Representatives handling first party Commercial and Personal Lines Claims.
This individual will provide effective leadership including: interview, select and evaluate staff for proper placement; coach, train, provide feedback, recommend training and development, inspire and motivate team members; plan for growth, change and succession.
Promote and encourage an inclusive and diverse work environment.
Model professional and ethical leadership.
Effectively communicate the business vision, strategy and goals.
Manage and implement change initiatives.
Ensure high levels of functional expertise and customer service by fulfilling our contractual obligations to the policyholder.
Ensure file quality and proper utilization of subrogation and salvage initiatives.
Establish negotiation and mitigation strategies.
Develop and implement an operational fraud plan.
Assist other Property Supervisors in training property associates, completing quality assurance (QA) reviews and supervising some of the large losses.
Assist in CAT activity coordination and management.
Review data and analyze trends to improve on business results.
