Physicist I - (MG16138)
Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Entry level clinical physicist.
Performs quality assurance procedures for radiation therapy equipment, dosimetry measurements for patients and radiation producing equipment, patient treatment planning.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Masters of Science degree or higher.
1. 5 to 2 years experience as a medical physics resident or clinical physicist.
Certification not required.
Basic knowledge of operation of therapy and CT-simulation machines.
Knowledge of radiation protection principles.
Numerical and spatial reasoning ability.
Mechanical aptitude.
Well developed organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with radiation oncologist and therapists.
Flexible/extended work schedule.
Attention to detail important.
