Physical Therapy Assistant
Schedule: Full time, 80 hours/two week pay period, 1st shift Location: Spectrum Health Continuing Care Center, 4118 Kalamazoo, SE Job Summary: Provides rehabilitation therapy procedures to patients under the direction and supervision of a therapist.
Assists with patients/caregiver education.
Job Requirements: Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Successful completion of orientation and introductory period.
Prefer working knowledge of computers and their applications.
Unique Requirements: Passionate, motivated, team player, subacute rehab primarily geri/ortho, some neuro, flexible-may work some shifts at Kent Community.
Other: Time management and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make quality, independent decisions.
80% of time spent standing and or walking.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Very frequent lifting and bending, pushing and or pulling loads.
Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions.
