Job Description Description The Patient Care Technician and/or Student Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing patient care related services and clerical support under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and/or a Registered Nurse including, but not limited to services relative to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination.
Safety, and supply and office maintenance.
Qualifications A) EDUCATION AND TRAINING: · High School diploma or equivalent.
· CNA, PCT or Advanced patient care training, OR · Current enrollment in a professional nursing education program (applicant must provide a letter from the registrar at his/her school indicating current enrollment in good standing) · Students from other nursing programs must submit a course description and verification that they have completed an equivalent course.
B) LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: · Certification as a Nurse Assistant · Completion of CPR. C) EXPERIENCE: Recent hospital experience preferred.
D) SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors and staff.
